A constructive and fruitful political dialogue between the two countries has been established, trade and economic ties are progressively developing, there is a good dynamic in cultural and humanitarian cooperation, the Kazakh diplomat said on December 6 at the 27th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the 20th anniversary of the country’s capital city, Astana.

“Trust relationships have been established in the framework of international organizations and regional structures. Kazakhstan and Vietnam hold similar positions on key issues of the international agenda,” he added.

The ambassador boasted that during the years of independence, under the leadership of President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan has created a unique model of political stability and inter-ethnic harmony, based on dynamic economic growth. Today, Kazakhstan has become a dynamically developing country in Central Asian region, as well as a responsible member of the international community.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Minh Vu, Assistant Minister of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, expressed confidence that the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Kazakhstan will be further strengthened, especially with the effective implementation of the free trade agreement between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union.

Other coordination mechanisms such as the Vietnam- Kazakhstan Intergovernmental Commission on Trade Economic and Scientific – Technical Cooperation, the Political Consultation between the two nations’ respective ministry of foreign affairs, and the sister city relations between Hanoi – Astana, and Ho Chi Minh City – Almaty are playing an increasingly positive role, Vu added.

To mark the 20th founding anniversary of Astana, a photo exhibition entitled “Undiscovered Kazakhstan” opened in Hanoi on December 5, displaying a new angle of Kazakhstan, especially the country’s landscapes to local visitors.
