Hanoi to host ceremony honoring President Ho Chi Minh on his 130th birthday

The ceremony is hosted by Hanoi city in coordination with other departments, ministries, agencies and related unit with the attendance of 2,000 delegates.

Hanoi will host a solemn ceremony and an art program on May 18 to honor President Ho Chi Minh on the ocassion of the National Hero's 130th birth anniversary.

While inspecting the rehearsal of the art program in commemoration of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Vuong Dinh Hue emphasized that the leader was a man of great humility so the art program must focus on telling the stories about the bonds between him and the people.

At the rehearsal on May 12 with the attendance of Deputy Head of the Central Commission for Communication and Education Le Manh Hung, Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung and his deputy Ngo Van Quy, Secretary Vuong Dinh Hue noted that the 130th birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh is a national event which is celebrated at a large scale every ten years.

Earlier, the Hanoi Party Standing Committee had mapped out a program to celebrate the 130th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday.

The art program aims at disseminating among the Party members and the people about Ho Chi Minh's great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the country and showing infinite respect and gratitude for him.

President Ho Chi Minh 130th birthday ceremony will be held at 9am on May 18 at the National Convention Center. It is hosted by Hanoi city in coordination with other departments, ministries, agencies and related unit with the attendance of 2,000 delegates. The celebration will be broadcast live on VTV1 and VTV4 channels.
