Mid-Autumn Festival of Reunion
On this weekend, ParkCity Hanoi will host the event “Mid-Autumn Festival of Reunion” for families and young children. This is an annual event hosted by the residential area with the aim to help families enjoy warm, loving moments together in this season of festival.
Under the bright moon of the lunar August full moon, “secrets” wait to be discovered by young children inside the “Moon Palace”. Other activities include meeting up with chị Hang (Chang’e – the Moon Lady) and chu Cuoi (the Moon Man), enjoying lion dance, making mooncakes, having the full-moon feast – which only happen once in a year during Mid-Autumn Festival.
You will also get to enjoy a shopping experience and amazing foods with more than 80 extravagant stalls on ParkCity avenue. Unique performances: magic show, circus show, lucky draw, music performances with street artists, gifts for the children,… are also a highlight of the event.

Open Shorts #5: Three Colors
This September, the Center for Assistance and Development of Movie Talents will make a comeback with three short films, all of which have their own style, promising to bring a unique cinema experience to the Open Shorts series.

In 2017, Bo Hai was praised by Czech film critics as one of the best films not shown in cinemas. It was also awarded Discovery Script Doctoring Award at the Cottbus IFF, Best Director and Audience awards at the FAMU Film School Festival.
The Last Project – 50:50
Director and Screenwriter: Cao Nguyen Hoang Minh
Producer: CoNAN Crew
Synopsis: Seeking revenge for the assassination of his master, a guard charges into a fight to the death with the assassin. This is a well-constructed and eye-pleasing martial action movie, even though the film crew consists of high school students with a passion for martial arts, parkour and action movies.
Apples and Oranges

Synopsis: Set in a Vietnamese community in Germany, “Apples and Oranges” tells the story of the peculiar friendship between “Harry” Bauer and Nguyen. A film about differences and similarities, and the question of who accepting whom.

All is calm in this little village in the center of France until the fairground entertainers arrive with their trailers. Then the fair gets under way: carousel, lottery, brass band and a traveling cinema where François, the local postman, discovers a film about the American postal service. Encouraged by the whole village, he sets out to deliver the mail “American Style”.

In an open-air dance hall, the members of Leca’s gang are relaxing with their ladies. One of them, Marie, aka “Casque d’Or” (Golden Helmet) meets Manda, a carpenter. Her man Roland belongs to the jealous kind, and Leca himself has his eye on her. A story of love, death, friendship and jealousy during the Belle Epoque.

Thai Festival in Hanoi
The Thai Festival, organized by the Thai Embassy in Vietnam, will come back to Hanoi from September 15 to 16. The event aims to further bolster the bilateral relationship between Thailand and Vietnam, while also promoting people-to-people ties.
There will be 50 enterprises from northeastern localities of Thailand to attend the 2018 Thai Festival in Hanoi. They will introduce some of the typical products from their region.
In addition, there will be 20 Thai companies and importers operating in Vietnam in many areas such as food, beverages, consumer goods, tourism, and aviation to attend this year’s festival.
Especially, famous Thai chefs will join the festival to offer visitors with various Thai dishes. In addition, attending the festival, visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy traditional dances performed by both Thai dancers from Chiang Mai and Vietnamese students. Muay Thai performances are also one of the festival’s top highlights.
