The 29th Vietnam International Trade Fair (Vietnam Expo) opened at the International Centre of Exhibition (ICE) in Hanoi on April 10, featuring 500 firms from 23 countries and territories, and 600 pavilions.
The event, themed “Networking, Sharing for Mutual Success”, will run until April 13, providing a platform for participants to showcase their products and services, and find partners.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Do Thang Hai emphasized that new trends and recent global economic developments have had a significant impact on the multilateral economic cooperation among countries in the region.
As a member of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), Vietnam has more prospect and opportunities to access export markets, create more jobs, and boost economic growth.
This year, many national brands (Vietnam Value), local strong brands, start-up businesses, and regional agricultural enterprises participated in the event.
Meanwhile, a highlight of the event is the area of Center for Trade and Investment Promotion, where foreign investors are provided with updated information about the latest waves of market, eight major key industries calling for investment as well as investment policies of Dong Thap, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Kien Giang, Thanh Hoa, Yen Bai, Vinh Long and Binh Thuan provinces.
Vietnam Expo 2019 also features “Vietnam – South Korea Designing Cooperation Center”, which showcases the agency’s contribution to promoting ideas, researching market, and encouraging creativity in brands and package design.
During the exhibition time, roundtable conferences, specialized seminars and trade conferences are to be held.
