The information was released by the Trade Remedies Authority of Vietnam, under the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
Accordingly, Indonesia stated that color-coated steel from Vietnam dumped into the country stood between 12.01% and 28.49% of the Indonesian market, causing serious damage to its domestic manufacture sector. Basing on this conclusion, KPPI requested the application of anti-dumping measures on color-coated steel from Vietnam within five years.
On December 23, 2016, KADI launched an anti-dumping investigation into related products imported from Vietnam and China from July 2015 to June 2016.
Findings showed that the total volume of color-coated steel sheets imported by Indonesia during the investigated period reached 224,119 tons, including 196,190 tons from Vietnam and China, making up 87.5% of the total volume of Indonesia’s imports.
