The event is among other cultural and tourism activities to celebrate the 45th founding anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 5th anniversary of the establishment of the strategic partnership between Vietnam and France.
Vietnam is the guest of honor of the 2018 Grenoble International Fair in Grenoble city, France’s Isere province, which takes place from November 1 to 12.
Attending the 2018 Grenoble International Fair, Vietnam has introduced traditional products including of handicraft, herbal tea and dried fruit.
In addition, Vietnam has also provided information about culture, cuisine, tourism and air travel for visitors, and organized art performances.
Speaking at the 2018 Grenoble International Fair, Claus Habfast, president of the Alpexpo Exhibition Center in Grenoble city, highlighted the close economic ties between Vietnam and France, adding that the two countries have also become closer thanks to bilateral cultural exchange.
Thanks to this event, people in Grenoble have a chance to explore many kinds of Vietnamese traditional craft, dance, music and cuisine, Claus Habfast added.
On his side, director of the Cultural Center of Vietnam in France Nguyen Thanh Vuong said visiting the Vietnamese booth at the fair, foreigners will learn more about the Southeast Asian country.
Vietnam’s participation at the fair as an honorary guest forms part of activities marking the 45th anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and France and five years of the establishment of the bilateral strategic partnership.
Earlier, a cooperation agreement was signed between the two nations at the 21st meeting of the Vietnam - France Joint Committee on cooperation programs in Ho Chi Minh City in June 2018.
Of the cooperation programs, Vietnam and France have agreed to further expand cultural cooperation in all aspects to encourage more and more Vietnamese young people to study French culture and language.
