Moreover, it is also a national database system storing thousands of local and international scientific publications by Vietnamese authors, millions of scientific researches in the world via connecting with international science and technology repositories.

The information exchange platform will act as an intermediary of the science and technology business connecting supply and demand, commercializing research results, and supporting the demonstration and promotion of new technological products.

“The technology exchange platform will make a substantive contribution to the development of the science and technology market throughout Vietnam. I hope that it will become a reliable address for research institutes, universities, and other scientific and technological organizations to tap into the potential research results, especially those funded by the government,” Dat said.

Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Science and Technology Enterprises Hoang Duc Thao said that opening a technology and equipment information exchange platform is very practical and catching up with the current digitalization trend.

“In the long run, I think online activities on Techmartvietnam.vn will be a useful bridge. When the Covid-19 pandemic is still unpredictable and is causing many difficulties for businesses both at home and abroad, posing obstacles to face-to-face trade activities, more and more customers and partners will make transactions via online channels. Therefore, joining the online information exchange platform will provide businesses opportunities to further expand their trading activities without being limited in space, time, and connection to sell technology products or services. The platform will open up more new cooperation opportunities,” Thao told The Hanoi Times.

The market is located at No.24 Ly Thuong Kiet Street in Hanoi and the online exchange platform is at http://techmartvietnam. After November 27, Techmartvietnam will operate regularly to introduce scientific and technological products, organize business matching sessions, and promote technology and goods transfer.
