Speaking at the launch of the program, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Lan Huong affirmed that Vietnam is one of few countries which are containing the Covid-19 pandemic by implementing drastic preventive measures.

In particular, wearing face masks in public places is one of the effective measures to prevent infection, not only Covid-19 disease but also other bacteria and health problems, and to reduce the harmful effects of environmental pollution.

With the message "Wearing a face mask - your little action brings safety for the community", the Hanoi Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee wants local residents to regularly mask up, Ms. Huong stressed.

She also suggested that the Fatherland Front Committee at all levels and the Front's member organizations raise people’s awareness so that they could proactively implement disease prevention measures in their families.

Also at the launching ceremony, the Hanoi Vietnam Fatherland Front received three Covid-19 testing machines from the Heart Fund of Vietnam, 1,000 biologicals for Covid-19 testing from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 100,000 face masks from the China - ASEAN Business Association, among others. The combined value of charity money and material totaled more than VND4.7 billion (US$203,612).
