From now to the end of 2015, the departments concerned have been required to apply all possible solutions to hand over traffic congestion.
Accordingly, Hanoi's Transport Department plans to reduce the number of bus services in Nguyen Trai road and Xuan Thuy - Cau Giay route duing rush hours to solve traffic congestion.

According to municipal Transport Department, even though buses can help transport a lot of people, they are also one of the reasons for congestion during rush hours.
Fewer buses may mean that passengers have to wait for more than 20 minutes instead of 5-10 minutes, but it is still better than hours in traffic jams, Deputy Director Quang added.
Nguyen Hoang Hai, Director of the city's center for urban transport management said the plan will target buses that have to travel pass public construction sites.
Under the direction of the city, from October 25, contractors of Nhon-Hanoi railway project began dismantling barriers in the construction sites, where have not been implemented, to expand street areas on  Xuan Thuy - Cau Giay route.
According to figures from Hanoi's traffic police, 11 infrastructure projects are taking place around Hanoi with 27 construction sites.
At the sites, barriers are established for safety, but since they take up a considerable part of street areas, traffic is badly affected, police said, estimating that 23 spots near the sites are prone to congestion.
Hanoi reported nearly 15,000 new motorbikes and 4,000 new cars every month.
