The visit to Vietnam is meaningful for Fabien Roussel as he used to live in Hanoi. It is also meaningful since the French Communist Party is about to celebrate íts 100th anniversary. Late Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh was among the founders of the party, said the French guest.

For his part, Chairman of the Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Duc Chung emphasized that Hanoi will coordinate with Fabien Roussel’s delegation for the successful organization of the 100th anniversary of the French Communist Party.

Chung also appreciated the French communists’ support in the struggle of Vietnam for peace and development in recent years.

He believes that the relationship between the two countries will become ever closer and practical, contributing to the closer ties between the two countries as well as with the European Union.

Besides, the cooperation between the Hanoi Party Committee and members of the French Communist Party remains in the framework of the two parties’ relationship with an aim of fostering the two countries’ relationship ever stronger.
