Hanoi’s roadsides blanketed by stunning red kapok trees

Roads and streets in Hanoi brightened with blooming kapok trees.

Kapok trees, also known as Moc Mien or Po Lang, are planted sporadically around Hanoi. However, the red color of the blooming trees is always imposing.

Located in the National History Museum, Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi, this kapok tree is probably the biggest and most beautiful one in the capital city.

When blooming, five big and thick petals of the flower open all at once.

March is the blooming season of kapok trees.

Blooming kapok trees indicate that the cold winter days are about to be over and the summer is coming.
