Awarded the title of Hanoi Honorary Citizen for Cuban former ambassador in Vietnam

The Hanoitimes - On October 14, within the framework of working visit to attend the 32nd session of the Intergovernmental Committee for Vietnam-Cuba, city leaders held a ceremony in Hanoi awarded the title of Hanoi Honorary Citizen for Mr. Fredesman Turro Gonzalez, Cuban former Ambassador in Vietnam.
Mr. Fredesman Turro Gonzalez was awarded for outstanding contributions in promoting relations of friendship, solidarity between the two peoples.

The donation ceremony was solemnly held at the headquarters of the Embassy of Vietnam in Havana with the presence of a delegation from Vietnam attended the meeting with the Minister of Construction Trinh Dinh Dung led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sierra Rogeligo Cuba, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Duong Minh and numerous friends of Cuba.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Cong Soai highlighted his special contribution Fredesman Turro for more than 20 years working in Vietnam in the development of the traditional relationship between the two countries, regular participation in cultural activities in Hanoi, as well as an introduction to culture, land and people of Vietnam with the Cuban people and international friends.
Mr. Nguyen Cong Soai confirmed, in the process of work in Vietnam, with its deep understanding of Vietnam, Mr. Gonzalez has Fredesman efforts to promote the activities of peace activities, friendship, such as language and spreading the culture of Vietnam to international friends in Hanoi. Comrade expressed hope he continues Fredesman Turro practical contribution to promoting friendship activities between the two countries.
For his part, Mr. Fredesman Turro has expressed profound gratitude to the Party Committee, People's Committee of Hanoi City for the great honor he received the noble title of Honorary Citizen of Hanoi right on 60th anniversary of the liberation of the capital city (October 10, 1954 - 2014). He said since the first time setting foot in Vietnam in 1968, he always had an affection for the country of Vietnam and the 
beloved Capital.
Fredesman confirmed that through the vicissitudes of history, Vietnam has always been a convergence of culture and soul of Vietnam, and so far the city has transformed itself became a symbol of progress of Vietnam in the building of a modern state and development.
With pride is in the name of the citizens of Hanoi, Cuban
former Ambassador in Vietnam pledged to do their utmost to contribute to strengthen and further develop relations of friendship and solidarity between two countries in decades.
