Start to construct Duong river water surface factory

Hanoitimes - On March 9th, Duong River Water Surface joint stock Company began to construct Duong River Water Surface Factory (DRWSF), with investment capital of nearly 5.000bn VND.

Attending the ceremony were Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee; Oman's Ambassador Sultan Bin Saif Hilal Al Mahrooqi; South African Ambassador Kgomotso Ruth Magau.

According to Governor Board Chairman of DRWSF Do Thi Kim Lien, construction completed in phase I has capacity of 300.000m3/day,  expected to complete in 2020 with total investment of 5.000 bn VND (equivalent to 225 million USD); the next phase expected to reach 600.000 m3/day by 2030 and reach 900.000 m3/day by 2050. The factory was equipped with modern technology to turn river water into drinkable one.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Duc Chung pressed, once completed, the project will supply clean water for 168 villages, wards of 8 districts belonging to Northeast and the South area of Hanoi, cities, industrial area in 179 road and nearby sites such as Bac Ninh province, Hung Yen province…
Building DRWSF is one of important landmark, to confirm correct policy of mobilization resources from private sector to develop Hanoi infrastructure. The construction also proves commitment, effort of Hanoi to draw and facilitate investors to operate. The project opens new gate of diversifying economic factor in clean water production and sale, pushing urbanization…
 The Chairman suggested related bodies and investors to cooperate closely, speed up project completion. At the ceremony, DRWSF Company supply 12bn VND to local fund, facilitating welfare infrastructure at 2 villages of Phu Dong and Trung Bau.
