Vietnam Airlines transports peach and apricot tree branches for Lunar New Year
National flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will transport apricot and peach blossoms for the upcoming lunar New Year Festival (Tet) on domestic flights from now until February 25 (or January 10 per lunar calendar).
Rates range from VND297,000 (US$13) - VND473,000 (US$20) per bundle (inclusive of VAT) depending on each flight. Peach and apricot tree branches must be tied in bundles and wrapped outside. Each bundle should not exceed the volume of 150x40x40cm or be in pots or soil bags.
Each passenger is allowed 1 bundle (which has no more than 2 branches) in the form of checked baggage, provided that the passenger has registered at least 3 hours before the flight and the registration has been confirmed. For other ornamental plants, Vietnam Airlines only accepts to transport in the form of cargo in accordance with the current rules/procedures to ensure operation safety.
In addition, some domestic flights operated by Vietnam Airlines that offer this service in the occasion of Lunar New Year 2018 are: flights between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City/ Da Nang/ Vinh/ Hue/ Quang Nam/ Pleiku/ Quy Nhon/ Buon Ma Thuot/ Cam Ranh/ Da Lat/ Can Tho/ Phu Quoc; flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang/ Hai Phong/ Thanh Hoa/ Vinh/ Dong Hoi/ Hue/ Pleiku/ Quy Nhon/ Buon Ma Thuot/ Cam Ranh/ Da Lat/ Phu Quoc; and flights between Da Nang and Hai Phong/ Cam Ranh.
