PM Phuc will follow a busy agenda during his three-day stay in Japan.
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his spouse are on a three-day visit to Japan starting October 8.
During his stay in Japan, PM Phuc will hold talks with his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe.
He will also attend a summit of Japan and five Southeast Asian countries along the Mekong River. The meeting will be held in Tokyo on Tuesday. The leaders will exchange their views for further strong growth and development, mainly on the following three areas: Connectivity, People and Environment. They are expected to formulate new principles for the Mekong-Japan cooperation.
The Vietnamese PM is also due to meet with parliamentary leaders, work with the Japan Business Federation, deliver a speech at the Vietnam Investment Promotion Conference and talk with several leading Japanese businesses.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Vietnam.
