Aus4Innovation is a mainstream program designed to materialize the Australian–Vietnam Innovation Partnership, which was first established at APEC 2017.

According to Minister of Science and Technology Chu Ngoc Anh, the project will modernize Vietnam’s important sectors such as agriculture and production on the basis of commercializing research results, capturing economic benefits and ensuring employment opportunities for Vietnam's workforce in the future, especially in the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Minister Chu Ngoc Anh said the Australian–Vietnam Innovation Partnership is an example of innovation and creativity in cooperative relations between the two countries.

He believes that the two sides will innovate together to make this partnership one of the three most solid and successful pillars to realize the Australian–Vietnam Innovation Partnership.

For his part, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Craig Chittick affirmed through Aus4Innovation, he looks forward to sharing the best of Australia's public and private sector expertise to assist Vietnam in taking advantage of new technologies and to shape the future of its economy.

Aus4Innovation is a development cooperation program, designed to enhance Vietnam's innovation ecosystem, build long-term partnerships between Australian and Vietnamese scientists and researchers, and help the Vietnamese government and people embrace opportunities offered by the Industrial Revolution 4.0.

Aus4Innovation will help explore emerging fields of technology and digital transformation, test new partnership models between public and private organizations, strengthen Vietnam's capacity in the fields for trend forecasting, scenario building, scientific research commercializing and policy planning.
