The automatic multi-channel selling project PowerSell won the first prize of the “Startup Viet 2018”, an annual program selecting the best startups in Vietnam.
The ceremony to honor outstanding startups was held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 15.
“Startup Viet 2018”, held by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST), aims to seek and nurture outstanding startups to help promote entrepreneurship.
With the overwhelming force coming into the finals, technology-building start-ups for the e-commerce sector have received much appreciation from both the professional council and the investors.
Products that integrate the trend of shared economy and become the foundation of technology 4.0 such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, Machine Learning and so on held sway among the finalists.
Thus, “Startup Viet 2018” has honored the founder of the Datamart Vietnam Co. Ltd Bui Hai Nam with the management platform of multi-channel selling solution PowerSell.
The winner provides an automatic multi-channel selling solution using big data analytics and artificial intelligence technology to support sellers on e-commerce platforms like Lazada, Shopee, Sendo, Haravan and Zalo.
The program attracted entries from diverse areas like commerce, real estate, services, healthcare and education. It created a chance for startups to share ideas with one another as well as experts, advisers and investors, thereby networking them for mutual support.
Director of the MoST’s agency in the southern region Pham Xuan Da noted strong changes in the last year of eco-innovative startups, which clearly shows the bustling trend of cash flow investing on startup projects. Accordingly, alone 2017, the Vietnamese market has recorded 92 business investment for innovative start-up with a total capital of more than US$291 million.
Currently, the MoST is leading the 844 projects with the main intention of creating a favorable environment for the establishment of eco-business start-up in Vietnam. In particular, the ministry strongly encourages activities such as the Startup Viet competition to create connections not only between enterprises but also between the business community and ministries, research institutes, universities, investment funds and so on.
