Representatives of departments, agencies of social protection of 63 provinces and cities attended the conference on social evaluation in 2017, implementing the key tasks in 2018.
The conference was held by the Department of Social Protection under the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.According to the report of the Social Security Administration, the number of people who need social assistance is around 22.5 million, accounting for 25% of the population.
In terms of performance, in 2017, the country will provide monthly health insurance and health insurance cards to nearly 2.7 million people. Of which, there are more than 1.5 elderly people without pension and social insurance.

Lan said that social protection is one of the key pillars of social security policy, which is paid special attention by the Party and State.
Under the pressure of increasing the target group, in order to thoroughly grasp the policy of the Party, the state in taking care of this object, Ms. Lan said that it is necessary to implement synchronous and effective policies.
With 13 key tasks set out in 2018, MoLISA will focus on building and completing legal system and legal documents.
In addition, MoLISA assigns the Social Planning Department to carry out the planning and development of the social insurance network. Studying and making plans on granting social security books, social security cards for people nationwide.
