25% of the population need social support

Representatives of departments, agencies of social protection of 63 provinces and cities attended the conference on social evaluation in 2017, implementing the key tasks in 2018.

At the conference, Ms. Dao Hong Lan, Deputy Minister of MoLISA, highly appreciated some localities that have well done in social work, implementing social welfare models and policies such as Ba Ria - Vung Tau, HCMC, Binh Phuoc, Ben Tre, Vinh Long, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, Hanoi.
Lan said that social protection is one of the key pillars of social security policy, which is paid special attention by the Party and State.
Under the pressure of increasing the target group, in order to thoroughly grasp the policy of the Party, the state in taking care of this object, Ms. Lan said that it is necessary to implement synchronous and effective policies.
With 13 key tasks set out in 2018, MoLISA will focus on building and completing legal system and legal documents.
In addition, MoLISA assigns the Social Planning Department to carry out the planning and development of the social insurance network. Studying and making plans on granting social security books, social security cards for people nationwide.
