Specifically, the following streets Ba Dinh district will be paved: Chu Van An, Nguyen Canh Chan, Hoang Van Thu, Le Hong Phong, Tran Phu, sidewalks around the Ho Chi Minh Museum and Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, Hoang Dieu, Nguyen Thai Hoc - Kim Ma, Huynh Thuc Khang, Quan Thanh, Van Cao - Lieu Giai - Nguyen Chi Thanh, Doi Can, Nguyen Truong To, Hang Bun - Nguyen Khac Nhu.

The plan will also cover major streets in Dong Da, Hai Ba Trung, Tay Ho, and Hoan Kiem districts.

Hanoi city also stipulates that the paving of sidewalks will be carried out if electrical wires and telecommunication cables are buried underground, system of underground and floating technical infrastructure works and architectural works on both sides of the road are completed and synchronized with the streets’ frontage.

Materials of natural stone used for paving must ensure the parameters in accordance with the provisions of the standard for natural paving stone. The city also asked relevant agencies to select proper materials and identify the origin of stones that will be used.

In addition to using natural stone to pave sidewalks, Hanoi city has listed hundreds of streets that will be paved with Terrazzo tiles and concrete bricks.

The People's Committees of districts and towns can only replace paving materials when they are degraded provided that the technical infrastructure is ensured.

Particularly for areas surrounding cultural constructions, monuments and areas in front of embassies and international organizations, pavement materials and pavement structures have to be selected so that they are suitable with the buildings.
