Vietnam ready upgrade US ties on 10th anniversary of comprehensive partnership

The focus for both sides in the coming time would be to address the disruption to the supply chain and enhance resilience against climate change for inclusive and sustainable growth.
Vietnam and the US are expanding their relations beyond bilateral issues.
Both countries have overcome a difficult past to become trusted partners and are ready to take the partnership to a new level.
US Vice President Kamala Harris stated that the Vietnam-US relations would continue to progress in all spheres, with priorities given to economy-trade, climate change, science-technology, and healthcare.
The two countries have lifted the relations to comprehensive partnership since 2019.
The US – Vietnam relations have witnessed steady progress over the past 25 years, ranging from politics, foreign policy, to economy and trade, among others.
Vietnam wants to be the US’s credible and trusted partner, while trust is one of the key factors to help further the Vietnam – US comprehensive partnership.
At the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide and his spouse are on a visit in Vietnam from October 18 – 20.
Japan considers Vietnam one of the most favorable investment destinations in Asia, said Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Yamada Takio.
