Calligraphy corner in Hanoi Daewoo Hotel

Tourists now can experience the Vietnamese traditional custom of asking for and giving words in the Hanoi Daewoo Hotel`s hall.

During Lunar New Year festival, which Vietnamese call Tet, a number of traditional meaningful customs are practiced and asking for/giving calligraphy is one of most beautiful one.

Asking for and giving good words has become an indispensable traditional custom on the first days of the Tet. The agile strokes of the brush contain therein good aspirations for a new year full of prosperity, luck and peace.

In the Tet spirit, tourists in the Hanoi Daewoo can catch the glimpse as well as explore this unique custom of Vietnamese. Particularly, they will have the chance to catch beautiful moments of Tet 2018 and experience Vietnamese calligraphy art with Master Thanh Long, during February 9-17, 2018. The special corner is beautifully decorated with signature festive flowers, red lanterns, Chung cake.
This is the first time “Calligrapy coner” shows up in Hanoi Daewoo Hotel with the aim to preserve traditional values and at the same time contribute to popularize Vietnamese culture. Furthermore, the whole revenue from the activitiy would be donated to the poor and vulnerable children in Ha Giang Province.
