Vietnam proposes BBC to post a clip advertising its tourism

At a recent working session with BBC representatives, VNAT General Director Nguyen Van Tuan suggested that the clip be on air three times per day over three months.

The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) has proposed BBC Television of the UK develop a 30-second video clip advertising Vietnam’s tourism and broadcast it on the BBC channel in the Asia-Pacific region.

The filming process will take place in famous tourist destinations across Vietnam such as Hanoi, Ha Long Bay, Ninh Binh, Quang Binh, Hue, Danang, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City.
In the first seven months of this year, the country welcomed over 4.85 million foreign tourists, a year-on-year rise of 15.6%.
The tourism sector will strive to serve 8 million foreign and 37.5 million domestic tourists this year, grossing VND240 billion (US$11.2 million) in revenue.
