Boosting relationship between Russian and Vietnamese Parties

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong received a delegation from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (KPRF) led by its Chairman Ghenady Ziuganov in Moscow on November 24 during his ongoing visit to Russia.

Trong spoke highly of KPRF’s recent achievements and its prestigious role in Russia’s political arena. He congratulated KPRF’s success in the local election in September and thanked valuable support from Russian communists and friends for Vietnam.

The Vietnamese party leader expressed his belief that with good guidelines and unity, KPRF will continue affirming its important role in Russia’s political-social life, as well as in international communist and workers' movements.

For his part, KPRF Chairman Ziuganov highlighted the significance of Trong’s official visit to Russia and expressed fine sentiments of Russian communists towards Vietnamese comrades and people.

He also praised Vietnam’s remarkable achievements over the past nearly three decades of the Doi Moi (Renewal) process led by the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV). This has demonstrated the vitality of socialism and is a precious contribution, both practical and theoretical, of Vietnam to the international communist and workers’ movements, and a great source of encouragement for the KPRF, and revolutionary and progressive forces in the world, he underscored.

The Chairman voiced KPRF’s support for Russian President and Government’s policy on fostering cooperative relations with Vietnam, saying that KPRF will continue boosting the Russia-Vietnam comprehensive strategic partnership for mutual benefits, as well as for peace, stability, and cooperation in the two regions and the world.
