Business Insider: Vietnam among top destinations for cheap eats, lodging

Vietnam is listed in 21 destinations that cost visitors only 20 USD a day or less for food and accommodation by the US-based news website Business Insider.

“From Hanoi to HCM City, there are fabulous cheap eats and remarkably affordable places to sleep in Vietnam”, the site said.
Visitors can find hotels starting at about 3 USD per night, it noted, using the Hanoi Buddy Inn & Travel as an example, with charges about 7 USD per night and received an “excellent” rating from users on booking website Hotels.com.
"Just last week I purchased a bánh mì omelet sandwich for breakfast made on the street outside the opera for 97 cents…Bowls of pho noodle soup with chicken, beef, or pork are widely available for just $2", traveler’s feedback quoted by Business Insider.
Including in the list, there are other 20 destinations, such as Indonesia, Thailand, Samoa, Georgia, Coron Island (Philippines), Colombia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Egypt, Nicaragua, Poland, Albania, Bolivia, Greece, Laos, Roatan (Honduras), China, Nepal, India, Ecuador.
Vietnam was famous with international visitors for its low cost in accommodation, food and transportation fee. According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), in total, from the beginning of this year, the overall output of passengers through Vietnam`s airports and airfields reached 55.41 million.
In addition, a total of 9.11 million passengers arrived at Vietnamese airports in July, up 12.2% over the same period of 2016. Of the number, foreign visitors accounted for 2.34 million, up 2.1 per cent and domestic visitors at 6.77 million, up 16.2 per cent over the same period last year.
