Classical and Contemporary Music Concert with TANA Strings Quartet

TANA strings quartet plays compositions by Yann Robin, Claude Debussy and Ton That Thiet.

Neither calculated nor premeditated, the thing that makes TANA different rests on their repertoires, which are undeniably original and very contemporary. Their insatiable musical curiosity allows them to explore the many facets of music, different musical styles and the multi-layered depth of the compositions written by contemporary composers.
The quartet will play for the first time “Phong Vu” – one of the compositions written for string quartets by composer Ton That Tiet.
Program:
– Yann Robin, string quartet no. 3 “Shadows”
– Claude Debussy, string quartet in G minor, op.10
– Ton That Tiet, “Phong Vu”, world’s premiere
Prizes:
2012: FUGA AWARD awarded by the Union of Belgian Composers
