DPM asks for political security in northwest region

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc asked local authorities of four northwestern provinces of Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang and Thai Nguyen to uphold their social order and political security to contribute to national socio-economic development.

The Deputy PM made the point in Bac Kan while chairing a conference on ensuring order and security in the four provinces which was held by the Northwest Steering Committee.
 
 
The Party and State said Mr. Phuc always paid much attention to ethnic minority groups, especially those living in northwest region.
He also asked local leaders to take care of the locals and their cultural and religious lives, to prevent hostile forces taking advantage of spiritual and religious activities to incite ethnic people to disorder in social and political situations.
The localities were urged to map out specific measures on socio-economic development, poverty reduction with a view to raising material and spiritual lives for ethnic minorities./.
