Enhancing the Vietnam - Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership relation
Politburo member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi received Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Vnukov Konstantin Vasilievich in Hanoi on May 21.
At the meeting, Party Secretary Pham Quang Nghi highlighted the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and Russia.
The Party Secretary said that Russia is one of Vietnam's top prioritied trade partners, apartfrom fields of science-technology, education, and military.
He underscored that Hanoi authority always creates favourable conditions for Russian enterprises to invest in the city and expects the two sides’ trade to post new growth.
Ambassador Konstantin Vasilievich thanked the solemn reception of Hanoi leaders.
He expressed his hope that the free trade agreement, which to be signed between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union on May 29, will push for expansions across sectors along with inked agreements on oil and gas, nuclear electricity and military technical cooperation.
The Ambassador also said he would endeavor to cooperate with Hanoi authority to early deploy the construction of Moscow business center in Hanoi.
The Ambassador pledged to do his utmost to deepen the bilateral strategic partnership relations.
On the same day, Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen The Thao also welcomed the Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Vnukov Konstantin Vasilievich.
At the reception, Chairman Nguyen The Thao desired that on his position, Ambassador Konstantin Vasilievich will serve as a bridge to deepen the Vietnam - Russia cooperative relations and promote the
cooperation programs between the capitals Hanoi and Moscow.
The Chairman also affirmed that Hanoi authority will create the most favourable conditions for Russian enterprises to invest in Hanoi, and actively support the activities of cultural exchange to celebrate the 65th anniversary of Vietnam - Russia diplomatic relations in 2015.
