Ensuring the effective implementation of the People’s Council Resolution

The 4th session of the 15th tenure of the Hanoi People’s Council concluded on July 5th after three days working with high sense of responsibility, finishing all the proposed agenda.


At this meeting, the City People’s Council listened to the  City People’s Committee report on the implementation of socio-economic, security and defense assignments  in the first six months of the year; tasks and orientations for the rest of 2017.

Based on the citizens’ feedback, the deputies of the Hanoi People’s Council analyzed the socio-economic situations in the first half of 2017 as the session was broadcast live to the capital city’s voters.
 
The Chairwoman of the Hanoi People’s Council Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc said that the City People’s Council acknowledged  and highly appreciated the focused and dynamic management of the Hanoi People’s Committee. She praised  the People’s Committee  improvement of the leadership methods and the determination to   overcome any shortcomings and limitations to fulfill  important political tasks in the first six months.

The People’s Council has also approved 11 thematic resolutions with high consensus. The resolutions were passed lawfully and  in accordance with  regulations, meeting the socio-economic development requirements and tasks of the city, serving as  legal bases  for the City to make the most effective use of its resources and  guiding   agencies and sectors at all levels  to implement socio-economic development tasks in 2017 and the following years.

The  Chairwoman of the Hanoi People’s Council instructed the city’s agencies,  according to their functions, tasks and powers, should ensure the effective implementation of the resolutions. She asked the deputies to brief voters on the session results and enhance the supervisory tasks.
 
At this session, the City People’s Council elected another five deputy heads of departments of the council and ceased two  member of the City People’s Committee  for retirement and transfer. Three additional members were elected for the City People’s Committee. Delegate Le Van Huyen was ceased   because of transfer and based on  his resignation petition.

“On behalf of the City Council, I congratulate all the delegates who have been elected to the important positions of the People’s Council and the People’s Committee. I believe and hope that all the delegates will bring their best capabilities and qualities into their work. Furthermore, I hope that all the delegates will be fully responsible for the People’s Council, voters, the People’s Committee, therefore striving to complete all of their tasks successfully throughout the term,” expressed the Chairwoman of the City People’s Council.
