Hanoi Promotion month 2017 is aimed at improving quality and market expansion

The Hanoi Promotion month wil be held at year end to stimulate production and in response to the Campaign of “Vietnamese buying Vietnamese goods”. This is also an opportunity for enterprises promoting made -in -Vietnam commodities.
This is the statement of Vice Director of Hanoi Trade & Industry Department, Tran Thi Phuong Lan in an interview granted to Urban and Economic Newspaper.
The Hanoi Promotion month 2017 is the 9th yearly event to be organized by Hanoi Trade & Industry Department. Comparing to previous events, is there any new activity this time?
After 8 years of implementation, the Hanoi Promotion month has earned reputation from customers. This year, with message of “Buoyant promotion – Secured purchase”, the event has proved its credibility. In particular, enterprises participating in this event will have activities for customers accessing Vietnamese high quality products with reasonable prices.
Hanoi Promotion Month 2017 will not only draw the participation of retailers, but also enterprises in fields of health care, education, banking, and food. Statistics shows that approx. 500 enterprises will take part in the event, Vietnamese high quality enterprises make up 20-30% of those including strong brands such as Viet Tiep lock, Vinaphone, GenViet.
At present, online shopping is fast becoming a habit . Therefore, Hanoi People’s Committee is encouraging the promotion of e-commerce in the context of the industrial revolution 4.0. In order to achieve these objectives, during the Hanoi Promotion month 2017, Hanoi Industry & Trade Department will organize the “Online golden week” with thousands of products and services discounted to 50% at the website of promotion month or enterprises websites.
In 2015 and 2016, the Hanoi Promotion month included the Tourism promotion day attracting attention from customers. Does the Department also call for the participation of tourist operators this time?
After 2 years of organizing the Tourism promotion day, the number of enterprises participating in this events has increased, including reputable enterprises such as Hanoitourist, Saigontourist, Viettravel, along with airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Asiana Airlines.
In the Hanoi Promotion month 2017, the Department and Hanoi Promotion Agency will continue to jointly organize the 3rd Tourism promotion day at Ly Thai To park themed “Hanoi – Cutural Destination”. During the event, tourist operators will offer discounted products including tours, plane ticket and hotel accomodations. Especially, promotion agencies from other provinces also took part in the event of 2017 to introduce their tangible and intangible cultural values. With regard to Hanoi, the city has many artistic performances and traditional folk music to promote its tour packages . As such, this event brings benefits to both enterprises and Hanoians, contributing to the tourism development in the end of the year.
Bringing Vietnamese products to rural areas is one of the objectives of the campaign “Vietnamese buyingVietnamese goods” in Hanoi. So, is there any selling point for promotional products at wards and districts during the Hanoi Promotion month?
Enterprises participating in the event will have around 1,000 selling points. Especially, the difference between this time and previous events are the location of selling points at suburbs. Besides, we also organized some exhibitions in the rural areas of Hanoi. It is expected that there are 30-35% of the selling points in the suburbs area where there will be exhibition place for special discounted products, in which 80% are made in Vietnam.
In order for customers to avoid buying low quality products in the event, what is the Department going to do?
The Department will instruct all related agencies to control and monitor the product quality at selling points registered in the Hanoi Promotion Month 2017. If customers rights are violated, they can respond to the organizers using the hotline 024.1081 for timely protection.
Besides, the Department also requests enterprises taking part in the event to sign the commitment . Products must be sold at the right price listed.
