Hanoi to repair and widen roads in 2019

Hanoi city’s traffic maintenance works in 2019 will be divided into four categories.

The Hanoi People's Committee has recently approved a road maintenance fund of 2019 for repairing and widening roads to ensure safety and reduce traffic congestion in the city.

Accordingly, the municipal People's Committee assigned the Department of Transportation to quickly implement investment procedures in accordance with the regulations, coordinate with the Hanoi Office of Road Maintenance Fund and the city’s Department of Finance to work out the budget to submit to the municipal People's Committee for approval.

Hanoi city’s traffic maintenance works in 2019 will be divided into four categories, as follows:

Firstly, widening certain roads and intersections to ensure traffic safety and reduce congestion.

Secondly, repairing roads, ring roads, national highway and roads in the centers of districts, towns to serve the Party Congress at all levels.

Thirdly, repairing damaged roads around the competition facilities serving the SEA Game 31 to be held later this year.

Fourthly, improving damaged roads that are prone to traffic accidents.
