Hanoi to set up electronic cadastral records

Hanoi Department of Natural Resources and Environment held a workshop on implementation of the Law on Environmental Protection and training land inventory, mapping the current use of the land in 2014 to more than 1,000 key leaders, resource and environment staffs from the districts, towns, communes, wards and townships in the city.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia - Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment said that Hanoi People's Committee has approved to invest 140 billion VND to build up the unifiedly-electronic cadastral and land records. With this system, people can access, search for information on a parcel of land and apply online registration procedures and land use rights through the Internet instead of having to go to department themselves to search for the information. The system also allows the local cadastrial agencies at the level of city, district and commune to be accessible for inspection and access information on land for the use of management. In early 2015, this system is going to be applied.
