Many exciting and meaningful volunteer activities will be carried out by Hanoi Communist Youth Union members this summer to support the community.

Accordingly, many practical activities will be implemented by nine volunteer teams, including “Free Health Check for Covid-19 Recovered Patients”, “Community Digital Transformation”; “Build, Repair and Upgrade Toilets at Disadvantaged Schools Nationwide” and “Introducing Ethnic Musical Instruments to Hanoi’s High Schools Students”.
Speaking at the launching ceremony held in the capital city on June 3, Secretary of Hanoi Youth Union Chu Hong Minh said that the 2022 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, which is held from June to August yearly is always spiritedly joined by a large number of young people.
“Summer volunteer campaign is an opportunity for students to devote their youth and enthusiasm to the community,” she said.
“The capital city's youth will strive to fulfill the assigned task with the motto of “Safe- Widespread - Practical - Effective and Flexible,” she pledged.
In the context that the whole society is adjusting to the new normal, Minh said that the capital's youth need to step up activities to support social security, help locals to restore their lives, production and business after the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to Minh, this year's voluntary plan will focus on implementing one program and four campaigns, which are “Assistance for Candidates in National High School Exams”, “Green Summer”, “Red Phoenix Flower”, “Pink Vacation” and “Young Soldiers Join Social Voluntary Work”.

A number of meaningful and practical activities were held right after the launching ceremony including post-Covid-19 health checks and introducing the ethnic musical instruments to students at Ly Thuong Kiet High School and Long Bien District, among others.
Several volunteer teams were also set up for the campaigns “Building New Countryside”, “Communication on Thang Long-Hanoi’s Culture, History and Tourism” and “Consulting and Support for Innovative Startups”, among others.
In addition, ten typical models; 107 collectives and 133 individuals who have made excellent achievements in the “Month of the Youth 2022” campaign were honored by the leaders of the Hanoi Youth Union at the launching ceremony.
Scholarships and bicycles were also awarded to disadvantaged students in Long Bien District, Hanoi, at the event.
