KOHLER Bold. Art. Exhibition “Multiculturalism”

KOHLER Bold. Art. Exhibition “Multiculturalism”.
KOHLER Bold. Art. Exhibition “Multiculturalism”.

Exhibition: 12 – 17 Aug 2017, 10 am – 9 pm
Hanoi Information – Exposition Center, 93 Dinh Tien Hoang Str, Hanoi
In the digitally connected world, people migrate, live in foreign countries and cultures, merge and demerge. Cultural and ethical boundaries dissolve, merge or pull apart to create a multicultural hot pot.
Thirteen artists from Asia Pacific and the Middle East interpret the impact of such multiculturalism in their own countries through their work. While in some countries, ethnicities have been living together for generations, in others, locals face challenges with the growing foreign population. Has the world become a global village?
The unique pieces of art curated especially for this exhibition reflect multicultural trends influencing daily lives and society in thought-provoking ways on the whole spectrum.
The young artists under the age of 30 come from Australia, China, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, and United Arab Emirates. They express their views and feelings about multiculturalism through their art work. All pieces consist of materials that we use in our factories.
Amongst them, and probably the most important for this event, is the Vietnamese artist Lap Phuong who created the art piece ‘Peaceful Birth’ representing Vietnam. In conjunction with the exhibition, KOHLER will also display the Sartorial pattern inspired by haberdashery fabrics, showcased beautifully on the Carillon vessel sink which belongs to the Artist Edition.
Exhibition “Pieces of Life in Hanoi”

Exhibition “Pieces of Life in Hanoi”.
Exhibition “Pieces of Life in Hanoi”.

Hanoi appears in Huu Bao’s photographs through vibrant pieces of life. There are narrow streets and hardworking people; there are architectural and religious mysteries; there are daily activities in the hustle and bustle of the Old Quarter. We see ourselves here and there in these photographs. Hanoi has become part of our life through different periods of time. We love this city, its joy and its sorrow, like we love the house of our parents.
11 – 20 Aug 2017, 9 am – 8 pm
