Hanoi’s CPI decreases by 0.23% in December

Ha Noi’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) fell 0.23% in December compared to the previous month and increased by 1.55% compared with the same period of last year.

This is the second consecutive month, in which the index decreased after the spike of 0.51% in September and returned to a slight increase of 0.04% in October.
 
According to the report of the Municipal Statistics Office, in this month, the price index of 8/11 commodities increased, the index of education remained unchangeable compared to the previous month. The index of housing, electricity, water, fuel and constructional materials decreased  by 1.38%; the index of transport fell 2.56%.
 

 
The price of gasoline has adjusted 24 times since this early year, in which 5 times adjusted upward and 19 times adjusted downward. Besides, gas prices also continued to fall. That is the reasons why transports and other services are also down.
 
Telecommunications  costs recorded the highest increase of 0.68%, followed by garments, headwear, footwear (0.54%); other goods and services (0.51%), culture, entertainment and travel (0.42%); equipments and household appliances (0.26%); beverages and tobacco (0.12%).
 
In 2014, the Hanoi’s socio-economic development has faced many difficulties, such as businesses have faced a lot of difficulties in productions, the real estate market has not been recovered, development resources are still limited. However, the Hanoi’s economic sectors has still maintained the growth compared with the previous period.
