In the framework of the official visit to East European countries, a high-ranking delegation of Hanoi People`s Council led by Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc visited Czech`s Prague city from December 14-16.
On December 14, the delegation met with leaders of Prague city.
At the talk, the two sides agreed to strengthen cooperation in Prague's strengths such as preservation and conservation of heritage to promote cultural values for tourism development.
During the meeting, leaders of Hanoi and Prague also agreed to promote cooperation and share experiences in the management of social security, public health, vocational training, labour and employment policies, as well as cultural exchanges.
Chairwoman Ngoc expressed her hope that Hanoi wishes to cooperate with Prague in exchange of business delegations in order to seek export markets, enhance the provision of information about each other's markets, timely disseminate mechanisms and policies of Czech's market for Hanoi's exporters.
The Chairwoman stressed that the capital of Hanoi will create the most favourable conditions for Czech's businesses to explore opportunities and invest in the city in various fields, including industrial production projects and efficient energy - environmental protection.
In the same day, the delegation visited and worked at the Embassy of Vietnam in the Czech Republic. Chairwoman Ngoc expressed her pleasures at the cooperation development between Vietnam and Czech Republic in the recent years.
On December 15, the delegation met with the Vietnam Association in the Czech Republic and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Prague.
The Chairwoman highly appreciated and acknowledged the efforts of Vietnamese community Czech Republic. The Vietnamese community recognized by the Czech Government as an official ethnic community of Czech peoples is the pride of Vietnam, she added.
During the working visit to the Czech Republic, the delegation toured Conservation centre of Prague old quarter and was introduced experience in conservation and restoration of Old Quarter.
On the occasion, the delegation worked with leaders of Prague 1 District where Praha Citadel is located. Chairwoman Ngoc suggested the Vietnam Embassy in the Czech to make a bridge to promote the cooperative relations development between the two counties and the two cities of Hanoi and Prague.
