IMF to support Vietnam in advicing on policies

Governor of State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) Nguyen Van Binh met with IMF Resident Representative for Vietnam Sanjay Kalra, who is going to finish his tenure of working in Vietnam, and new IMF Resident Representative for Vietnam Jonathan Dunn in Hanoi on July 29.

At the reception, Governor Nguyen Van Binh congratulated Sanjay Kalra for his excellent tenure of working in Vietnam, from October 2011 to July 2015.

The Governor highly appreciated his tight coordination with the SBV, being a bridge to foster relation between Vietnam and the IMF. Sang also thanked for his practical support to the SBV during the past four years.
Vietnam government presented the State Friendship Medal awarded by State President Truong Tan Sang to Representative Sanjay Kalra. The Representative was granted the Commemoratory Medal for Vietnam bank.
Also at the ceremony, Governor Nguyen Van Binh appraised new IMF Resident Representative for Vietnam Jonathan Dunn.
Binh hoped that Jonathan Dunn, as the successor of Sanjay Kalra, will help to promote the bilateral good relationship and continue to support the SBV in advicing on policies as well as training its staffs to improve their research capacity.
