The IPU-132, to be hosted for the first time by the National Assembly of Viet Nam, will take place in Ha Noi from 28 March to 1 April with the main theme “The Sustainable Development Goals: Turning words into action”.
The delegation from Viet Nam’s National Assembly to the upcoming 132nd Inter-Parliamentary Union General Assembly (IPU-132) today discussed the role of parliamentarians in the national delivery of post-2015 goals.
The National Assembly of Viet Nam will host the IPU 132 for the first time in Ha Noi from 28 March to 1 April, with the main theme “The Sustainable Development Goals: Turning words into action”. IPU - 132 will discuss the National Assembly’s role in proposing mechanisms and policies to form and implement SDGs. Also discuss ways the National Assembly carries out its oversight function and make decisions on important national matters so Viet Nam can achieve the MDGs as well as contribute to the development, negotiation and implementation of the SDGs once adopted.
