Khanh Hoa prepares fireworks show for Sea Festival 2019

This year’s festival will feature both familiar and new sporting activities including a sea swimming competition, a beach volleyball tournament and a beach football championship, among others.

The Military High Command of Khanh Hoa province has prepared to install fireworks on barges, about 80 meters from the coast, which are to be lit during the opening night of the 2019 Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival on May 10, Voice of Vietnam reported.

Up to now, sponsors have contributed more than VND15 billion (US$645,000) to the festival’s organizing committee, out of a total of nearly VND22 billion (US$946,000) committed to support the festival.
From April 29 until now, several activities have been held at public places in Nha Trang city in response to the 2019 National Tourism Year and the 9th Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival, including art programs, dragon dance performances, a rescue competition on the beach, and a marathon.
According to Chairman of the Khanh Hoa province People’s Committee Le Duc Vinh, relevant agencies have undergone fundamental preparations for the opening ceremony. In addition, responsible bodies have been asked to ensure security and embellishment during the festival.
Vinh also asked the service sector to avoid raising room and food prices as well as maintaining food hygiene and safety standards.
This year’s festival will also feature both familiar and new sporting activities including a sea swimming competition, a beach volleyball tournament and a beach football championship, as well as the national Muay club championship and beach physique competition.
The 2019 National Tourism Year and the 9th Nha Trang – Khanh Hoa Sea Festival with theme “Color of the Sea” will feature 11 main events and more than 50 other activities. All activities will be organized by Khanh Hoa province and nearly other 40 activities organized by 14 cities and provinces nationwide on this occasion.
