Lao officials congratulate Vietnam on National Day

A crowd of representatives from Lao Ministries and sectors have arrived at the Vietnamese Embassy in Vientiane to congratulate the country on its 70th National Day (September 2).

During his visit to the agency on August 27, Lao Deputy Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh, who is also President of the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association, conveyed his best wishes to the Vietnamese Party, State and people on the occasion.
He expressed his joy at the deepening of the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, stressing that all-around links lays a solid foundation for maintaining and fostering bilateral ties in the future.
Previously, Head of the Central Committee’s Commission for External Relations of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party ​ Xayachack also congratulated Ambassador Nguyen Manh Hung on Vietnam’s National Day during their meeting.

While praising Vietnam’s achievements over the last seven decades, especially the country’s reform (Doi moi) process since 1986, she thanked Vietnam for its valuable assistance to Laos in the past and at present, affirming that she will do her utmost to further strengthen the relations.
During his meetings with Lao officials, Ambassador Hung expressed his deep gratitude for the great support from the Lao Party and people to Vietnam.
He believed that the close affiliations between the two Parties, States and peoples would continue to be bolstered in the future, contributing to peace, stability, friendship, cooperation and prosperity in the region and the world.
