Launching a poster contest to mark first election anniversary

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a ceremony to launch a poster contest celebrating the 70th anniversary of Vietnam`s first General Election Day (January 6, 1946) in Hanoi on September 9.

The contest aims to promote Vietnam National Assembly's operation and renovation, its history and achievements.
The purpose of the contest is to encourage people across the country in order to promote the traditions and achievements of the country in the renewal period.
The contestants include professional and amateur painters who are Vietnamese citizens and Vietnamese people residing abroad.
Entries can be submitted one or more works to Department of Grassroots Culture at 86A, Le Van Huu street, Hanoi through October 20.
The organising board will award one first prize of 10 million VND, two second prizes of 7 million VND each, and two third prizes worth 5 million VND each. 
The award ceremony will be organised on January 2016.
