National Assembly deputies concentrated their attention on the draft law on amendments and supplements to some articles of the Laws on Taxation and the draft revised law on export and import tariffs during their plenary session in Hanoi on November 13.
Regarding draft revisions to the Law on Value Added Tax, the deputies gave opinions on the value-added tax (VAT) imposed on unprocessed products of cultivation, breeding and aquaculture, VAT refund for export goods and investment projects.
For the draft amendments to the Law on Special Consumption Tax, the prices for calculating special consumption tax and the tax rates for automobiles were the focus of debate.
On the bill on export-import tariffs, lawmakers gave their feedback on tax payment time-limit, regulations on issuing tax rates, trade defence tariffs, and issues relating to tax exemption, reduction and refund.
On November 14, the NA is due to adopt a resolution on the State budget allocation for 2016.
