Made-in-Vietnam school stationery prevalent in the market

As the start of the academic year 2017 – 2018 is approaching, the school stationary market becomes increasingly exciting.

Consumers are favoring notebooks and other school stationery produced by Vietnamese enterprises as those items have improved with regard to quality and designs. In order to match the customer demand before the  new school year, enterprises and bookstores  have made sufficient availability of items.
According to the representative of Hanoi Book Publishing Company, demand for notebooks and school stationary in this time of the year rises  50 – 70% in comparison to the previous months. Despite the high demand,  the prices remain stable.  Hong Ha, Hai Tien, Thien Long, Ben Nghe domestic stationery makers  have improved designs and quality yet ensuring suitable pricing.

Consumers health, pupils in particular,  are made priority by  domestic stationery makers. According to Hong Ha Stationery Company, in order to minimize the risk of  myopia or scoliosis, the company has released  superlight and anti-scoliosis  backpacks and  bags with price ranging from 250,000 to 270,000 VND per product. Pencilcases made of non-toxic plastic materials cost around 10,000 to 12,000 VND per item. Kangaroo has brought to the market vision-protected desk lamp, priced at 150,000 – 239,000 VND per unit. In particular, Rang Dong Bulb  and Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company has  introduced anti-myopia led lamp able to save  80% of electricity consumption at the price of 360,000 VND per product.
 
 
August is the high time for bookstores and supermarkets to conduct   sale and promotion events. Co.opmart supermarkets has introduced the promotion event “Shopping at the beginning of school year” in which more than 1,200 products are discounted, including school uniforms, stationaries, backpacks and schoolbags. Specifically, backpacks and schoolbags of the brands Mr.Vui, Miti are discounted from 126,000 to 463,500 per product. Uniforms of Sanding and SGC are priced at 52,900-144,000 per product. On the other hand, Big C is  promoting the  event “Back to school”, discounting up to 50% for more than 1,000 products from stationaries to uniforms, backpack and clothes. Similarly, from now on until August 28, LOTTE Mart has sale event discounting from 5-49% for many school items.
 
Book stores such as Fahasa, Phuong Nam, Nguyen Van Cu also introduce promotion events with price reduced at 30% for pens, notebooks and backpacks. Hanoi school books and equipment JSC is cooperating with suppliers to give   notebooks and stationaries to customers when buying textbooks.
According to some supermarkets and book stores in Hanoi, in this school year, textbooks and stationaries are very diverse with a lot of sales and promotions for customers. However, in order to choose the appropriate products, parents should go to well-known and credible places for the quality and reasonable price.
