According to the statistics, in 2015, Vietnam sent about 115,980 labourers working abroad. In which they included 38,640 women workers, accounting for 33.3%, up 122% to the annual plan and equivalent to 108.5% compared with 2014.
This was the second consecutive year that the number of Vietnamese employees working abroad exceeds 100,000 labourers per year.
The number of Vietnamese labourers sent to Taiwan and Japan market continued to increase against to 2014, namely: Vietnam sent 67,121 labourers working in Taiwan, an increase of 108%, and 27,010 Vietnamese employees were sent to Japanese market, rising by 136.6% compared with 2014.
Besides, the country also sent its labourers working in some other foreign labour market such as Malaysia has 7,354 Vietnamese employees, with 6,019 labourers in Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia has 3,975 employees, and Algeria has 1,963 employees.
