Omani enterprises eager to increase investment flow into Hanoi

On May 16, Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee Nguyen Duc Chung received Omani Ambassador to Vietnam – Mr. Sultan Saif Al Hilal Mahruqi.

At the meeting, the Ambassador expressed happiness with Oman-Vietnam relationship continuous development and assess, Omani enterprise community always wish to broaden investment and operation in Hanoi the capital as well as Vietnam.

Discussing about some difficulties of Omani investors in seaport career – strong field of Oman, the Ambassador showed the hope that Hanoi government would help them to solve these problem. Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee Nguyen Duc Chung had a souvenir gift for Omani Ambassador to Vietnam – Mr. Sultan Saif Al Hilal Mahruqi. Welcoming the Ambassador’s visit, Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee Nguyen Duc Chung feels encouraged with achievement of the bilateral tie as well as growing cooperation between Omani government, enterprise with Hanoi recently, including Duong river Surface water Factory (start to construct in March, 2017).

Mr. Nguyen Duc Chung affirmed that, in the next 5-year period (2016-2020), Hanoi government underscore infrastructure development on sewage solution, environment improvement, urban traffic network… as core target, among 3 break-through phase of development agenda.
On his position, Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee pledged to direct related bodies, creating favor conditions to Omani enterprises to invest and consult project in Hanoi. About the difficulties mentioned, Hanoi government will effort the make as soon reply as possible. On this occasion, the Chairman released about a conference on investment promotion of Hanoi on upcoming June, and sent moral invitation to the Ambassador and Omani enterprise community to attend the event.
Take the invitation from the Chairman, Mr Sultan Saif Hilal Al Mahruqi said, Omani government and enterprise eager for information about potential project in Hanoi to seek cooperation. The cooperation between Oman and Vietnam as well as Hanoi strengthens during the past time, though doesn’t meet the bilateral potential. The Ambassador asserted, he would deliberate with Oman’s Chamber of Commerce to send delegation to the Conference. Highly appreciating the meeting’s effectiveness, the Ambassador committed, on his position, will try his best for the Oman – Vietnam tie, hope to bring into play the potential of bilateral relationship.
