PM Nguyen Tan Dung praised the Netherlands for successfully organizing the 3rd Nuclear Security Summit during the talks with his Dutch counterpart Mark Rutte on March 25.
The two PMs agreed to boost the exchange of delegations and direct inferior levels to prepare well for PM Mark Rutte’s official visit to Viet Nam in June this year.
Both sides agreed to create favorable conditions for business communities to enhance cooperation and investment, especially in the fields of oil exploitation, ship-building, agriculture among others.
They also discussed concrete measures to expand cooperation in the priority areas of climate change adaptation and water management, agriculture, energy and oil, seaport development and logistics
Both sides should work towards to early conclusion of the agreement on strategic partnership in sustainable agriculture and food security.
PM Dung asked for the Dutch Government’s technical and financial assistance for Viet Nam in exploiting wind and solar energy.
The two PMs noted that bilateral national defense cooperation has been developing positively and effectively. PM Dung welcomed the Netherlands’ will to make active contribution to peace, stability in the region, including maritime security and safety, and freedom of navigation.
PM Dung asked the Netherlands to continue to support Viet Nam’s efforts to strengthen comprehensive relations with the EU. He also affirmed that as a coordinator of the ASEAN-EU relations for the 2012-2015 period, Viet Nam will play an active role in fostering the relations between the Netherlands and ASEAN.
