Pop stars ring in Tet with new tunes

Spring and love are the hottest themes for music videos that will be released this month to welcome Tet (Lunar New Year), which begins on February 19.

Pop star Ho Ngoc Ha worked with her close friend, fashion model and movie actress Thanh Hang, in filming her new music video Xuan Hanh Phuc (Happy Spring).
In her work, a group of charming boys and girls in ao dai sing and dance in a park as the singers in red stand in the middle.
Both Ha and Hang, who is the Queen of the Catwalk, showed their beauty at the shoot, instead of recording in a studio as usual.
The video short features two girls enjoying a happy Tet with their family. Its music combines pop and dance.
Ha invited young rapper Hoang Anh, winner of the Vietnamese version of the last year's American-based TV game show The Voice Kids.
Before launching her music video in HCM City, Ha spent days shooting her new production. She worked with her producer, scriptwriter, fashion stylist and choreographer to combine music with beautiful images.

Xuan Hanh Phuc became one of the top hits for Tet since its release three weeks ago, with visuals leaving the strongest impression on her fans.
Four days ago, Ha continued to make waves after introducing online a trailer of her latest MV, Mua Dep Nhat (The Most Beautiful Season).
The work features Ha and a group of young singers, including Bui Anh Tuan, Tieu Chau Nhu Quynh, Thai Trinh, Dao Ba Loc and Dinh Huong.
The artists perform in colourful clothes standing in a garden of peach and apricot blossom trees.
Its highlighted scenes include Ha driving a van of flowers to visit her friends in Tet.
More than 38,000 fans, most of whom are teenagers, have downloaded her trailer on Zing MP3, a popular music channel in Viet Nam.
Mua Dep Nhat will be released next week.
Ha is not the only one focusing on love and Spring.
Viet Tan Studio, one of the city's leading recording studios, has released the album Mua Xuan Nhu The Day (The Meaning of Spring) of 16 songs for children composed by Quynh Hop.
The album features the voice of Bao Ngu, 6, and Quynh Anh, 10, with both girls showing their talent in singing and dancing.
Young singers like Noo Phuoc Thinh, Son Ngoc Minh and Hari Won are not an exception to the trend.
They have released their new music videos with the theme of Tet, attracting millions of fans on online music channels. Several videos have used 3D technology.
In Giai Dieu Mua Xuan (The Melody of Spring), Thinh performed as a homesick man who dreams of returning home to enjoy Tet with his family.
His music video was directed by talented photographer Le Thien Vien.
