It will be an opportunity for Vietnam to promote multilateral diplomacy and deepen bilateral relations with its leading partners in the region and the world, while giving Vietnamese localities and businesses a chance to introduce their potential and seek partners, he stated.

The leader spoke highly of efforts made by the National Committee for APEC 2017,  the National Secretariat on APEC 2017, and Da Nang municipal authorities to prepare for the event, while asking for more efforts to speed up construction to early finish infrastructure projects, especially Da Nang airport.

He requested the Ministries of Defence and Public Security to coordinate and map out specific plans to ensure security and order for events during the High-level Week.

The President also stressed the necessity to boost communications to help the public gain insights into the meaning and importance of the APEC Year 2017 so that they can contribute to promoting the image of Vietnam to international friends.

Da Nang is rapidly completing infrastructure, accommodation and services in accordance with schedule, ensuring security, safety and high quality human resources, while actively promoting the event to people, partners, friends at home and abroad.
