President Ho Chi Minh, fallen soldiers remembered on National Day

A delegation of the Hanoi Party, Hanoi People`s Committee, Hanoi People`s Council on September 1 paid respect to President Ho Chi Minh and fallen soldiers on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day.

The delegation included Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Pham Quang Nghi, Chairman of Hanoi People`s Committee Nguyen The Thao, Permanent Vice Secretary of Hanoi Party Committee Ngo Thi Thanh Hang, President of Hanoi People's Council Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc..., among others
The August Revolution in 1945 opened up a new era in Vietnam’s history, when the entire nation, under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam founded and led by President Ho Chi Minh, rose up to seize power. 
On September 2, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, declaring to the world the foundation of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
