President Sang receives out-going Algerian Ambassador

On January 8, President Truong Tan Sang receives Algerian Ambassador to Vietnam Cherif Chikhi who came to say good bye before ending his term in Vietnam.

President Truong Tan Sang acknowledged the Algerian diplomat's remarkable contributions to developing the long-standing friendship between Vietnam and Algeria . 

He expressed his pleasure at the growing bilateral cooperation in various fields with two-way trade reaching US$400 million per year. 

He thanked the Algerian Government for supporting Vietnamese people to live and work in the host society as well as facilitating the joint activities of the Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group.

The ambassador said he hopes the future cooperation between Algeria and Vietnam will grow based on the bilateral traditional friendship and political resolve of the two countries’ leaders. 

He also noted satisfaction the activities to bolster the cooperative ties between the two countries during his five-year tenure in Vietnam.
