Prime Minister receives Duke of York, Prince Andrew

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung met with the Duke of York, Prince Andrew, on the margin of the 50-year celebration of Singapore’s Independence Day, in Singapore on August 9.

At the meeting, the PM said that recent visit to Vietnam of the UK's PM David Cameroon's was successful, contributing to develop the strategic partnership between Vietnam and the UK positively and comprehensively in various fields, especially economics, trade, investment, education and training.

PM Dung expected that Vietnam and the UK will expand and deepen the bilateral collaboration in the aforesaid fields in the coming time. 
Prince Andrew expressed his special sentiment to Vietnam and its people. He hailed the country’s rapid and dynamic development as well as education cooperation with the UK. 
He said he hopes the UK University project in the central city of Da Nang will be pushed ahead in the future, adding that he is willing to support Vietnamese businesses to connect with the globe via electronics and informatics systems. 
Prince Andrew revealed to visit Vietnam at the end of this year.
